WOMEN'S SKI CLINIC
FEBRUARY 3, 2012. This clinic is for women, by women! The all-female coaching staff will directly address what women need to improve their personal skiing. The group of coaches were picked because of their ability to provide a very positive learning environment that will enhance skill development for ladies in the sport of snow skiing. The clinic is also a great opportunity to meet other women who have a passion for snow sports, and maybe make a new friend to ski with for years to come. This clinic is for women with intermediate through advanced skill levels. 8:30am - 4:00pm. Cost $70. Does not include rental equipment or lift ticket. Registration/payment required at least one week in advance of clinic.
COLLEGE NIGHTS FEBRUARY 10 & 11
College student nights on Friday February 10th and Saturday February 11th, 2012 from 9:00pm - 1:00am. Present a current, valid college ID at the ticket window to receive one late night special: Lift ticket only $25.00 each. Lift Ticket with ski or snowboard rental $40.00. Snow tubing tickets with valid ID are $25 for the entire 9pm - 1am time period.
ANNUAL BIG AIR COMPETITION - FEB 11
This exciting event takes place in the Audition terrain park directly in front of the ski lodge and features skiers and snowboarders showing off their skills on two large jumps. Contestants do their best jumps for the judges to win in novice and pro divisions. Final competition is in the evening, surrounded by bright lights and loud music. Announcers will let spectators know who is heading into the jump, and describe each trick so the crowd can follow the action. For those who don't participate, this event is great to watch from the lodge or deck. Big Air Event Schedule: Novice at 4pm - $15 Registration 2p – 3:30p. Pro Qualifier at 7:30 - $20 Registration 2p – 7p. Finals for Pros to follow Qualifier.

We are 100% open today from 9:30am until 1am. We received nearly 2 inches of rain in 24 hours, but thankfully we did not have any flooding issues. The groomers have been out diligently pushing snow around and perfecting the surface, so you can expect a machine groomedsurface just about everywhere today. If you see one of them, give them a hug or buy them a coffee for the great work they have been doing this year! Props to Nick Goepperfor his performance at the Winter X Games in Aspen! Nick, your skill and atheticism amaze us, and Perfect North Slopes is proud to be your home area. Thanks for the shout out last night! National Weather Service has issued an advisory for the sunshine today, since we haven't seen it in a while, they said not to panic and that it is perfectly normal. Highs today about 42 under mostly sunny skies. We are looking at a great weekend ahead, maybe even seeing a little snow tonight late into tomorrow morning. Go outside and play today; we'll see you out on the snow! 9:00am UPDATE: The Red, Green, and Blue Chairs with their respective runs are open. Grooming is taking longer than expected and the Orange Chair will open about 10am with Far Side available. The tree runs off of the Orange Chair will be available between 10:30am and 11:00am. |
