FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I have never been skiing or riding before, what should I do?
Whether skiing or boarding, you will need to stop at the ticket windows to purchase a lift ticket. A 50 minute beginner group lesson is included with every lift ticket for anyone 4 and older. Like everything else, you'll improve the most when you receive some guidance. The best way to become good at downhill skiing or snowboarding is to take a lesson from one of our qualified instructors. After purchasing your ticket and rental form, you will then proceed down to the rental shop to complete your RENTAL FORM and receive your equipment. If you are skiing, you will find your boots on racks arranged by size. Snowboard boots are also on racks arranged by size located in the Snowboard Rental area. Usually you will wear the same size ski/snowboard boot as your shoe size. (One good pair of athletic socks is adequate to wear inside your boots). Begin to buckle your boots by starting at the toe and working up. Next, go to the counters to be assigned your equipment. Exit the Rental Shop onto the snow and proceed to the "LEARN TO TURN" area located just beyond the West Lodge. Coin lockers are located in the Rental Shop and throughout the lodges to safely store your personal items. If you need assitance, at any time during this process, please do not hesitate to ask any of our employees. Additional information can be found under "First Timers Guide" as well as "Lessons" and "Lift Tickets and Rentals".
